Southern Boiler Works Ltd ( http://www.ptmachining.co.uk/ ) are specialists in the manufacture of 5” and 7.25” gauge copper boilers to the latest Pressure Equipment (safety) Regulations”, they also offer CNC and manual machining services.
Southern Boiler Works’s journey with Dolphin Cad Cam products commenced with the purchase of PartMaster Mill Pro V14 in 2020, this was followed by purchasing an upgrade to Mill Pro V15 Jan.2023.
In the summer of 2023 Southern Boiler Works acquired a Tormach Lathe controlled by Pathpilot CNC control software and to support program production for the lathe purchased Dolphin PartMaster Lathe module in Oct/2023.
Dolphin with the cooperation of Southern Boiler Works produced a tailored post processor and within a few days Southern Boiler Works produced their 1st turned part on the Tormach lathe.
" I was recommended dolphin software by another previous user in 2020 for my Bridgeport interact with Heidenhain 151B. With only 2D machining experience and manually programming Heidenhain code from co-oridinate 2d drawings previously, I was soon producing 3D machined parts on this old machine using drip feeding techniques. Within 6 months I purchased my first Machining centre running Heidenhain TNC370. In late 2023 I purchased a Tormach SL15 cnc lathe and purchased Dolphin turn and upgraded Dolphin Mill.On all 3 dolphin purchases the after sales service from Dolphin was absolutely superb, tweaking post processors for my own personal machines. Thanks to Dolphin I am now able to produce complex tooling for producing parts from customer step files for my copper boiler business, and can now expand to offering cnc machined parts. I cannot recommend Dolphin highly enough, the only place to buy Cam software "
